On behalf of Brian Chafe:
It is with sincere appreciation and a bit of sadness that I share the news that Leanne McLean, Chief People Officer at De Havilland Canada, will be leaving as of July 31.
Since joining our team in February 2024, Leanne was a key team member supporting legal amalgamation, has established HR & HSE as key partners to operations, and led the launch of new initiatives such as our Culture Amp survey and engagement platform, as well as our Recognition and Years of Service programs.
Leanne has brought a wealth of leadership experience to the executive team and to our HR and HSE business partners. Her ability to collaborate cross-functionally has been instrumental in supporting the development of our executive team and their departments as we’ve navigated the demands of DHC’s rapid growth.
Leanne’s leadership, insight, and presence will be greatly missed at the executive table and throughout the organization.
During the transition, an interim leader will be joining the team as we start the search for her replacement. Mike Van Hee will join DHC as our interim VP Human Resources, starting Wednesday, July 16.
Mike’s experience includes roles at the University of Calgary, as VP, Services & Operations as well as Associate VP, Human Resources & HSE where he was responsible for HSE, strategic human resources counsel and direction, compensation, benefits, process transformation and implemented a new HR service delivery model. His previous leadership positions also include senior positions at Wolseley Canada Inc, Repsol Oil and Gas Canada Inc, and Talisman Energy Inc.
Mike has decades of multi-industry, global, HR and corporate services leadership experience, where he managed through significant change and complexity. He will bring depth of leadership and discipline specific expertise with a calm, approachable style to continue to navigate complexity and rapid change.
As always, if there are any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
