Dear De Havilland Canada Team,
I would like to inform you that after nearly 19 years with De Havilland Canada and Bombardier, Harlan Simpkins, General Manager, Flight Operations, has decided to step away from his role effective February 28, 2025. While Harlan’s departure is undoubtedly a significant loss for us, he is looking forward to the next chapter in his career.
I am sincerely grateful for the invaluable contributions Harlan has made during his tenure with De Havilland Canada, and he will be greatly missed by his team and colleagues. Please join me in wishing him all the best in his future endeavors.
In the interim, John Gronlund has accepted the role of Interim Director, Flight Operations. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, including his previous role as Director of Flight Operations at Porter Airlines, John is well-positioned to lead our Flight Operations team. He and Harlan will work closely over the next few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
