Following the October 28 announcement regarding our organizational changes, we’d like to take the opportunity to provide an update on additional changes across the organization within the Manufacturing, Corporate Operations and Programs, Engineering, and Aftermarket teams. These changes are intended to:
- Provide clarity on responsibilities and accountability,
- Enable better communication and quicker decision making across the organization, and
- Align resources to streamline operations.
Gerry Kelly – Vice-President, Manufacturing
- Jason Connolly has taken on the role of Vice-President, Qualified Refurbishment Program.
- Randy Poirier continues in the role of Vice-President, Operations. Randy remains as the manufacturing leader for the De Havilland Canadair 515 and will continue his leadership and oversight of the Victoria site.
- Mark Lenci remains in his role as Vice-President and General Manager, De Havilland Parts and Aerostructures Calgary.
- Ricardo Icazbalceta has been appointed as Director of Operations for DHC-515 Aerostructures (CGY2).
- Victor Ocadiz is confirmed in his role as Director of Operations for DHC-515 Aerostructures (CGY3).
- Mashal Mohammad remains in his role as Director of Operations for Twin Otter Final Assembly (CGY1).
- Scott Higginson remains in his role as Director of Methods and Industrialization.
The changes noted in the Manufacturing team are effective immediately.
Please watch for a job posting in the coming weeks for a Leader of Process Metrics and Improvements role to replace Victor Ocadiz.
Sandra Howell – Vice-President, Corporate Operations and Programs
Programs Office Updates
- Alina Brisbin was appointed to the role of Director, Product Planning and Improvement, and PMO, reporting to Sandra Howell.
- Marc Chauvette was appointed to the role of Director, Avionics Programs, reporting to Sandra Howell.
- Milica Micic and Izabella Rozanski have transitioned from Project Engineering to take on the role of Project Manager in Product Planning and Improvement, reporting to Ali Stanwood, Manager of Product Development.
Quality Department Updates
- James Adegboye has joined the Quality team as Manager, Safety Management Systems (SMS), reporting to Andriy Szkwarek, Director of Quality AMO and Aftermarket.
- Shawn Cull has transitioned into the role of Manager, Quality MRO, reporting to Andriy Szkwarek.
- John Cocksedge has been appointed to the role of Manager, Supplier Quality, and will continue as a Minister’s Delegate for Production, reporting to Susie Pearce, Director of Quality Manufacturing.
The above changes within the Corporate Operations and Programs team are effective immediately.
Rob Mobilio – Vice-President, Aftermarket (interim Vice-President, Engineering)
Engineering:
- With Alina Brisbin’s move to the PMO, her direct reports – Emma Donlin, Milenko Despot, Graham Babe, and Sharon Chandar, will report to Rob Mobilio directly until a new VP, Engineering is in place.
- Ryan Curtin will continue in his role as Interim Director, Core Engineering.
- Drew Hall will continue in his role as Director, Aircraft Development and R&D.
- Steve Bruce, Twin Otter 300G Engineering Leader, will report directly to Arthur Studzienny.
- Jason Rahaman, Director, Technical Services, and the Tech Services team will move to Aftermarket.
- The Air Safety Office, including investigators Colin Vollrath and Dennis Pollard, will transition to report directly to our General Counsel, Jake Hoeppner.
- David Preshaw is also transitioning into a new role, Air Safety Director, within the Air Safety Office.
- Dan Burns will take on the role of Interim Director, Airworthiness and Aircraft Certification while we search for a replacement for David Preshaw.
The changes noted in the Engineering team are effective November 12, 2024.
Aftermarket:
- Heather Wilson will take on the role of Director, Customer Support, within the Aftermarket team and will lead our teams responsible for Training, Warranty, In Service Supplier Management, and our overall Regional Support Offices (including our Field Service Reps). Entry Into Service, Warranty, and In-Service Supplier Management teams will report into Heather during the department’s transition.
- Mauro Pezzetta, General Manager, Training will report to Heather and will continue to lead our overall Training team.
- Peter Elmsly-Smith and John Fernando will report to Heather and continue to lead their regional teams.
- Allison Batt will continue to lead the IFS Implementation Team representing Aftermarket.
- Mervyn Lynn has taken on the role of Director, Customer Operations. Merv will also lead the teams currently focused on pricing, forecasting and strategy on an interim basis. The below individuals will report into Merv.
- Alex Jaglowitz, Director Material Services, will lead the teams responsible for parts services across all aircraft types.
- Kenny Karthigesu, Manager Component Solutions.
As noted in the recent town halls, the Technical Services team will transition to the Aftermarket.
The changes noted in the Aftermarket team are effective immediately.
We are anticipating some additional organizational changes in the near future, marking exciting steps forward! These changes are designed to enhance our ability to work cohesively as a company.
