DHC Sets Precedent in Health and Safety Inspections

De Havilland Canada has now completed two federal Health and Safety inspections since amalgamation: one at our Twin Otter Production Facility in 2025, and another at our Toronto office in January of this year. These inspections review all systems, processes, documentation and include site safety observation tours. These inspections provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress and continue strengthening our approach to health and safety.

At our Production Facility, the federal inspector awarded DHC a score of 100 percent on our health and safety programs and documentation. This was the first time in the inspector’s career they had issued these sections a perfect score. During the recent Toronto inspection, the inspector commented positively on the engagement of employees, and the strong collaboration between employees, leaders, the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and union representatives.

These results reflect more than just strong programs. They reflect a culture where employees actively contribute to keeping one another safe. As we move through these inspections and audits, we continue to learn, improve, and advance our program. This is an ongoing and evolving effort, and one we all share responsibility for.

Thank you to everyone for playing a role in building a safe, respectful, and continuously improving workplace.
