This week, we had the honour of welcoming Melodie Ayoungman to lead our team in a special moment of reflection and connection. Melodie Ayoungman is a Siksika educator, community leader, and advocate for reconciliation and Indigenous cultural revitalization in southern Alberta. She is best known as the founder of the Lead by Example Powwow, an annual event held in Strathmore, Alberta, that honors the life and legacy of her son, Kristian Kakato’si Ayoungman.
Melodie graciously shared her experiences with us, and we’re deeply thankful for the opportunity to listen and learn from her. One of the highlights was seeing her take the pilot’s seat and learn a little about our aircraft!
Thank you, Melodie, for your time, energy, and the beautiful traditions you brought into our space. It was truly a memorable and meaningful experience for all of us.
