We have received great news from Mid-Canada Mod Center (MC2) and Avionics Design Services (ADS)! The CL-415 Avionics Upgrade Supplemental Type Certificate was officially approved by Transport Canada on March 11.
This important milestone is thanks to the collaboration with MC2 and ADS, and Universal Avionics.
For now, we are just sharing this news with our internal teams; but stay tuned for the official announcement coming soon!
Itβs been a big week for our waterbomber program. On Tuesday, we signed a contract in Athens, Greece to modernize the cockpits and avionics systems in the current Hellenic Air Force fleet of CL-415s.
These modifications will enhance the entire fleet, extend operational lifespan and supportability, and improve the overall effectiveness of the CL-415s operating in Greece. This new avionic system will also be the same as what will be installed in the future DHC-515 aircraft being built for Greece.
Thank you to everyone at DHC who supported this project – engineering, production, flight test, certification, supply chain, programs, maintenance operations, and technical support! Congratulations to the teams at MC2 and ADS who were absolutely integral in the success of this project, and we look forward to implementing these newly certified avionics into our DHC-515s!
