Today, September 12, DHC participated in the Hope Air Haul for Hope plane pull in Calgary. Hope Air believes everyone deserves the right to access good healthcare no matter where they live. They provide families, from coast to coast, with free flights and accommodations to ensure patients can concentrate on getting well and not about how they will get to their life-saving medical appointments in different cities. It’s an amazing charity that has helped over 5,000 patients to date.
Our DHC team brought home a first-place win as the fastest team to pull across the finish line! Thank you to @Christopher Thiessen, @Kasun Marasinghe, @Jonas Boettcher-Sheard, @Alan Aitken, @Amatul Azizan, @Brian Little, @Jarenz Giron, @Brett Fay, @Raja Sabarinath, @Tom Nemetchek, @Kaden Lenci and @Joe Rogers for bringing the DHC muscle to the event, and to @Hailey Deatrich, who organized the crew.
A special shout-out to Jonas Boettcher-Sheard, who made the attempt to pull the plane on his own and managed to move it on his own before a few bystanders jumped in to help. We foresee a do-over request from Jonas in the near future…
