IFS/ERP… RU ready for launch, DHC?

Yes, we know, we just ran a piece about acronyms, and here’s a couple more.

However, these are very special acronyms that will help propel us into the next phase of One De Havilland Canada. If you think we’re over-selling it, just consider what IFS can do!

Right Parts, Right Time
We are an aftermarket company that builds aircraft. That means DHC runs on PARTS!

Customer Order and Parts Supply functions are crucial to support our customers. Parts, and the people who make them, stock them, install them, support them, and deliver them are the lifeblood of DHC. Imagine having visibility on every part we have in stock in all our buildings (or inbound to our buildings) for all our functions!

Well, we’re going to have that capability when we have one ERP system called IFS. That alphabet salad stands for Enterprise Resource Planning and Industrial and Financial Systems, but it just means a single platform designed to support a wide range of business functions, including finance, supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance, and project management.

One System to Rule them All
We’ve talked about being One DHC as we became legally joined, and this IFS platform is a piece of that evolution. When it goes live there will be:
•    One source of information
•    One way to serve our customers
It will be how we ensure consistent, stellar customer service every time our customers interact with DHC.

Going Big
Have you noticed it’s an exciting time to be at DHC? We are currently building aircraft that change the lives of people in remote areas and save lives of people in the path of wildfires. We are keeping a fleet of over 3,000 aircraft flying all over the world. And we are just getting started.

Uniting our systems and having one way of doing business across all DHC will free up the time, energy, and resources we need to grow.

5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Takeoff
When will all of this happen? May 30, 2025 is the go-live for IFS. Starting in January, we’ll be on a five-month countdown till we are on the new system. That’s pretty soon, but we’re known for short takeoffs and landings around here.

Between now and then, we’ll be talking to you here on Connect, in Town Halls, in emails, and any other way we can think of to make sure you know what you need to know, when you need to know it.

For now, if you didn’t catch this video a couple months ago, watch to learn more about IFS.
