This quarter brought some exciting milestones for our Manufacturing Quality Team, with team members building new skills, expanding our in-house capabilities and celebrating career growth!
Building new inspection capabilities in-house
In August, DHC piloted its first in-house Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge training course, led by @Zoha Ghorani (DHC NDT Responsible Level 3).
Over the course of a week, inspectors at CGY2 and CGY3 took part in classroom and hands-on training, learning how to use ultrasonic thickness gauges and complete the required inspections. The course wrapped up with an exam, and we’re happy to share that every participant successfully completed the training!
The graduates are now qualified as Limited Level 1 inspectors for this type of inspection, adding valuable capability to our Manufacturing Quality Team. Following the success of the pilot, the team is looking forward to bringing this training to other DHC manufacturing sites.
Congratulations, Danilo!
The team is also celebrating an exciting career milestone for @Danilo Dasilva, who has completed the training required to become a Statement of Conformity Delegate with the Aircraft Certification Team.
Danilo’s journey at DHC began on the shop floor before he progressed into a Quality Inspector role. With support and mentorship from @Susie Pearce and @John Cocksedge, a development plan was created to help Danilo take the next step toward becoming a Statement of Conformity Delegate.
After extensive training and hands-on aircraft inspection experience under John’s guidance, Danilo completed the requirements for his nomination. His nomination and training package were submitted for executive approval in early September.
Congratulations to Danilo on this achievement, and to everyone who successfully completed the Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge training! These milestones are great examples of how we’re continuing to build expertise and create opportunities for our people to grow within DHC.
