Every industry has its fair share of acronyms, and aerospace is no different. Whether you cut your teeth here, or you joined De Havilland Canada last week, you could find yourself staring down an acronym you’ve never met before on the next email you read. Or, if you’re really unlucky, you’ll hear one in a meeting and try to figure it out while also keeping track of the conversation. We’ve all been there, and BTW (by the way) it’s okay to ask. To give everyone a helping hand with these many-lettered mysteries, we’ve created a list of acronyms that are common to the aerospace industry and some that are specific to DHC (speaking of acronyms). We think we’ve got a good start here, but if you’ve got an acronym we’ve missed, we want to add it to the list. What we’ve got so far is under the “About Us” section of our website: Our Acronyms. The easy to navigate glossary has a comments section below, and we want you to show off your alphabet soup savvy, and add any aerospace, DHC, or corporate acronyms you think would be helpful to our team. We’ll add the business relevant acronyms we find in that comments section (hold the LOLs, please) and steadily build a comprehensive DHC glossary. Go have a look and leave a comment! |
