Organizational Announcement

On behalf of Gerry Kelly, Chief Operating Officer

At De Havilland Canada, our success comes down to one thing: delivering for our customers.

Whether it’s getting parts where they’re needed, advancing certification programs, completing aircraft modifications, or building new aircraft, our customers count on us every day. Meeting those expectations takes the seamless coordination across our One DHC team and our subsidiaries, working together with a shared focus on delivering results.

To strengthen that alignment, I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Jason (Jay) Bonfield as Vice President, Mid-Canada Modification Centre (MC2). Jay will report directly to me and join the DHC team on August 10.

Jay brings more than 30 years of international aviation experience across both the civil and military sectors, having held leadership roles in Europe, the Middle East, and Canada. Throughout his career, he has led complex operations, managed large multidisciplinary teams, and delivered major aviation programs. His experience in aircraft operations, avionics, program management, and customer delivery makes him an outstanding fit to lead MC2 as we continue expanding our aircraft modification programs and deliver on our DHC-515 commitments.

Randy Poirier will continue as Vice President, Manufacturing, Jean-Francois (JF) Desroches will continue as Vice President, Programs, and Al Young will continue as Vice President, Technical Services and MRO, with responsibility for the Calgary MRO and Asset Management. All will continue to report directly to me.

Together, this leadership team will help us move faster, work more closely across the business, and stay focused on what matters most, delivering on our commitments to our customers around the world.

Please join me in congratulating Jay on his new role and wishing him every success.
