2. Describe where you were in your career when selected for the cohort?
a) Prior to joining PropelHER Program, I was working on several aftermarket projects as Program Manager, which really helped me build a strong foundation for where I am today.
3. How has your career changed, since joining the program?
a) Since joining the PropelHER Program, my career has evolved significantly. I am currently part of much larger projects such as the Twin Otter 300G Program & the DHC Firefighter 515 Program. I have gained greater confidence in my leadership abilities and learned how to advocate myself in professional settings. The workshops and mentorship at PropelHER helped me refine my career goals, and as a result I have taken on new responsibilities at work that align more closely with my long-term aspirations.
4. Are you in the same role or department which you started in?
a) No, I transitioned from Aftermarket Projects Team to Core Aircraft Programs under PMO (Corporate Operations)
5. What are 3 things you would tell future women trying to jump start their careers?
a) Be confident in your capability and voice – Aviation/Aerospace are still male dominated fields, Don’t hesitate to speak up , share ideas, and take on technical or leadership challenges.
b) Seek Mentors and Build your network – Surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you. Aerospace community is built on collaboration that can accelerate your career.
c) Stay Curious & Keep Learning – The industry rapidly evolves with new innovations in sustainability, AI, etc.. Stay adaptable by continually expanding your skills – whether through certifications or participating in leadership programs like PropelHER. Curiosity and growth mindset will keep you ahead of change.
6. If you were asked why you should join the program, what would you say?
a) PropelHER program help women progress in aerospace careers by providing crucial mentorship, networking opportunities, and training to build confidence, skills, and leadership competencies, while also addressing gender stereotypes and barriers.
