Since 2010, Women in Aerospace (WIA) Canada has been working to create a networking platform for all genders, connect women in aerospace-related professions, raise their visibility within the sector, and promote their advancement. De Havilland Canada is proud to be partnered with WIA Canada, but we wanted the program to have a DHC focus. As all of our aircraft here are propeller-powered, we saw it fitting to rename the Women in Aerospace program at DHC to PropelHER: Leaders in Aerospace. Under this new name, De Havilland Canada will be propelling women’s careers forward for years to come. Last week, the third cohort of the program was participating in training in Calgary to kick off a 10-month program that supports DHC’s commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion, as well as expanding leadership opportunities for women at DHC and in the aerospace industry. If you see any these cohort members around the office, be sure to congratulate them on their inclusion is this stellar program. |
