Every few months, Strathmore High School, located in the province of Alberta, gathers representatives from various industries to present at their career fairs. This past Wednesday, April 30, the theme was the Aviation Industry, and students were presented with insight into the various career paths within this industry, as well as education requirements and growth opportunities for achieving those roles.
De Havilland Canada was privileged to present both technical and business careers paths within the organization. There was also a large interest from students regarding the academy for technicians and the much-anticipated De Havilland Field, which the town is eagerly awaiting.
Other presenters at the career fair included travel agents, border services, pilots, private charters, and flight attendants.
This career fair left students energized and curious, with many asking thoughtful questions and expressing a genuine interest in aviation careers. De Havilland Canada was proud to be part of this inspiring day, helping to spark passion and possibility in the next generation of aviation professionals.
