Hi Team,
Well, here we are, wrapping up another year—and what a year it’s been. It’s had its fair share of challenges. But everyone dug in and got the job done like we always do. Thank you for all you’ve done to keep us moving forward. I also want to acknowledge and thank those of you who will be working over the holidays: in our MRO facilities, on the manufacturing floor, in the offices working to resolve issues, on the phones or in the field helping customers – I truly appreciate your commitment to keeping things on schedule.
As the year comes to a close, I’d like to take a moment to look back at 2024.
What stands out to me the most is how everyone pulled together. Whether you’re working on the manufacturing floor, in the office, with our customers, or working in a different country representing DHC, each of you played a part in keeping us going. And we didn’t just get through it—we achieved some big wins along the way, like:
- Resolving 150 obsolescence issues for our customers.
- Reducing our AOG priority backlog on parts to an all-time low, which means happy customers with aircraft in the air and not on the ground waiting for parts.
- Amalgamating five companies into one. That means bringing together people and processes from all five companies into one new way of doing things. I know that’s not easy.
We’re just five months away from implementing the new IFS system. I know that’s been a great deal of work, but I also know what the system is going to do for us. We’re going to have one system that has all our information in one place so we can deliver what our customers need when they need it.
DHC is about aftermarket, manufacturing, and production; it’s also about building something bigger—jobs, opportunities, and a company that thrives even in difficult times. Through the collective perseverance shown by every person at DHC—from the floor to the offices—we’ve managed to navigate this year with determination and GRIT.
Looking ahead, I’m feeling really good about what we can accomplish next year. We’ve learned a great deal, and I see the momentum building. With the kind of dedication and teamwork I’ve seen from all of you, I know we’re ready to take on whatever comes our way.
As we head into the holiday season, I hope you get some well-deserved time to relax and enjoy the things that matter most—family, friends, and whatever makes you happy. You’ve earned it.
Thank you for all your hard work this year. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead, and I’m proud to be on this journey with all of you.
