After years of vision, planning, and hard work across De Havilland Canada, we’ll officially break ground on De Havilland Field, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this milestone with all of you.
This moment belongs to our entire team across Calgary, Victoria, and Toronto. Every employee has played a part in helping us reach this incredible day, and tomorrow is a celebration of what we’ve built together and where we’re headed next!
Tomorrow morning, to mark both the groundbreaking and 515 Day, commemorative t-shirts will be handed out at all facilities. If you are attending the event, we’d love to see everyone wearing them proudly to show our team spirit.
A few important reminders for those attending in Calgary:
- Please be ready to load onto buses no later than 11:00 a.m.
- Dress for the weather! The event site is an open field (hence the name), and we’re expecting wind and possibly a little rain. Please wear warm, comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking on uneven dirt.
- No personal vehicles will be permitted on site. All employees attending must arrive by DHC bus. Any unauthorized vehicles will be turned away at the gates.
- And for a little extra fun… have a YAHOO sign that you like to bust out during Stampede? Bring it! Let’s celebrate our western footprint!
If you can’t join us in person, we’ll be sharing a livestream link tomorrow morning so everyone can be part of this exciting moment.
And trust us… we have a few very special surprises planned, so you won’t want to miss it.
Thank you for everything you’ve done to help make this day possible. Tomorrow is more than a groundbreaking, it’s the start of something extraordinary.
