On September 13, our De Havilland Canada team in Toronto took part in the Hope Air Haul for Hope Challenge at the Billy Bishop Airport.
Our Toronto team members stepped up to the challenge and showed great team spirit, pulling a 65,200 lb Dash 8-400 aircraft for 100 meters in an impressive 1 minute and seven seconds. All for a cause that truly matters.
By supporting Hope Air, we’re helping ensure that Canadians everywhere can reach the healthcare they need. Since 1986, Hope Air has arranged more than 200,000 travel trips for patients and families across the country.
This year, Toronto’s DHC team pulled for Simona. At 57, Simona lives in Prince Rupert, BC, more than 1,500 kms from her care in Vancouver. Having managed both lung cancer and ongoing fibromyalgia, she has relied on Hope Air for seven vital trips, support that would have otherwise cost her around $7,500.
