Tried, Tested, True

Big Promises
You’ve heard that we’re moving to a new ERP, the “IFS”, and moving a lot of our information onto this platform. You’ve heard that it’s going to be a significant improvement for DHC. That we’ll be able to:

  • Know where every part is at all times
  • Support delivery times
  • Serve customers better

But how can we be sure?

ERP: Enterprise Resource Planning – it’s a platform where a company stores data that supports finance, supply chain, manufacturing, project management, etc.

IFS: Industrial and Financial Systems – it is the name of the ERP we’ve chosen for DHC.

Rigorous Testing
It makes sense to be cautious about something this critical. All the data — our customers’ data, our vendors’ data, our data — is vitally important. And when all this data gets moved into the IFS, we need to be sure it is right.

To do this, we are performing a wide range of tests throughout the project to ensure the system works for your needs. These tests are conducted at different stages and focus on every aspect of the system, checking:

  • Functionality
  • Performance
  • Data accuracy, and
  • Overall reliability

This thorough testing helps us catch and fix any issues early on, ensuring that by the time the system is ready for use, it is reliable, error-free, and fully aligned with your requirements.

Think like a Customer
As we test, we are making sure that the customer will not be impacted in the least. That is the main objective of everyone on the project team. The aim of our tests is to see that we will be able to serve our customers as efficiently and effectively as we do now and empower us to do even better.

Safety Net
When the system goes live, there will also be experts in the IFS in person and available to help with any task. All that to say… we’ve got you, DHC!
