Welcome to new members of the Supply Chain and Engineering team

We are pleased to announce the following Organizational Changes in the Supply Chain and Engineering groups.

Director, Core Engineering 
I am pleased to announce that Ryan Curtin will be assuming the role of Director, Core Engineering reporting to Janet Wardle – Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Engineering. Ryan joined the company in 2006 as a new engineering graduate in the Bombardier Turbo Prop Engineering department and progressed within the engineering organization to become the Manager, Aerostructures and more recently Interim Director, Core Engineering. Ryan is an experienced engineer and people leader. As the Director, his expertise and experience will provide the Core Engineering team with the leadership to continue to deliver engineering activities that consistently provide value to the customer, are efficiently delivered, extend to engage effective external organizations, support business objectives, growth and mitigate risk. 

Manager, Aerostructures
I am also pleased to announce that Cha Li will be replacing Ryan as Manager, Aerostructures. Cha joined us on March 31, 2025. Reporting to Ryan Curtin, Cha will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Aerostructures engineering activities of the Core Engineering team for all aircraft supported by De Havilland and ensuring that all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformity with the established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 

Cha brings 19+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry in companies such as Collins, Zodiac, Northstar, TDP Aerospace and Magellan. In addition to his Engineering and people management skills he also brings with him extensive Project Management experience. 

Cha holds a B.Eng – Aerospace, Master Certificate in Project Management and designations for Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (Honeywell)

Director, Airworthiness
We are pleased to announce that Tariq Maksoud will be joining us as Director, Airworthiness, effective April 14, 2025. Reporting to Janet Wardle – Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Engineering. Tariq will be responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining the Airworthiness Control System (ACS), the Design Approval Organization (DAO) and SMS (Safety Management System) within the Engineering function. 

Tariq brings with him over 16 years of Aerospace experience including Bombardier Airworthiness Engineering, Bombardier Simulation & Test, Transport Canda Civil Aviation Standards and Projects and most recently as the Airworthiness Manager for Diamond Aircraft.

Tariq holds an MASc Aerospace Engineering and is also a P.Eng.

Director, Supply Chain Transformation & Integration
We are pleased to announce that Nicole Ferreira will be joining us as Director, Supply Chain Transformation & Integration, effective April 14, 2025. Reporting to Janet Wardle – Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Engineering. Nicole will be responsible for the development of an overall strategic plan for driving the New Product Implementation (NPI) process; for establishing supplier collaboration and performance management tracking; and for the utilization of risk management and process improvement tools aligned to support business improvements.

Nicole will have key accountabilities for providing leadership in strategic planning and execution of part/assembly transfers at suppliers; identifying key requirements and forecasting resource needs; partnering with suppliers to track performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans; providing transparent and effective project reporting, summarizing key data and supplier performance updates; and driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future projects.

Nicole is an experienced Aerospace Professional with a diverse multifunctional background ranging from Supply Chain to Methods Engineering to Operations and describes herself as having a “transformational leadership style.”  

Nicole holds a diploma in international Business and Business Administration from Centennial College.
