Reinforcing the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at DHC

On behalf of Mike Van Hee

Hello team,

At De Havilland Canada, the strength of our company has always come from our people. The skill, dedication, and collaboration that go into every aircraft we build and support.

To continue building a workplace where everyone can contribute at their best, we are launching Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training for all employees.

This training is not about checking a box, it is about strengthening our culture. Reinforcing respect, improving how we work together, and ensuring every employee feels valued and heard. An inclusive workplace directly supports what matters most to us: safety, performance, innovation, and operational excellence.

The DEI course is available through Absorb, our corporate LMS tool and can be accessed at any time. I encourage you to go through the training at your earliest convenience. Employees who are working in production roles will have the opportunity to take the training via the kiosks at each of our locations. Leaders have also been equipped with resources to support you as you complete the training.

In addition, creating programs that remove barriers, promote representation, and ensure equitable access starts with understanding the diversity of our workforce. We value the different identities, backgrounds, and experiences our employees bring every day. To help us better understand where groups may be underrepresented, we invite you to participate in our confidential and voluntary self-identification process

Through this process, employees can indicate if they belong to one or more designated groups under the Employment Equity Act, including Indigenous Peoples, members of visible minorities, and persons with disabilities. Participation is entirely voluntary, and any information shared is protected and kept confidential.

Each of us plays a role in shaping our culture. Small actions such as how we listen, how we respond, and how we support one another collectively define who we are as an organization.

Thank you in advance for your participation and your continued commitment to making DHC a respectful, high-performing workplace for all.
