On behalf of Brian Chafe
Hello,
I’m writing to share an important update regarding our organization as we continue to navigate the next phase of our growth as ‘One De Havilland Canada’. After careful consideration, we are implementing some changes to our organization’s structure. These changes reflect our continued commitment to advancing our organization’s purpose: To be the trusted leader in building and supporting aircraft that specialize in regional transport and utility special missions. The place for bold innovators to work on finding aerospace solutions to address customer challenges around the world.
The new structure will be completed in the coming months and is an exciting next step for DHC and builds the right foundation for our organization. We became one De Havilland Canada in August, and these changes will provide clarity in areas of responsibility and accountability, aimed at enabling communication and decision-making across the organization under our one organization.
Here are a few key changes to highlight:
- Robert Mobilio has been appointed Vice President, Aftermarket. With Rob’s extensive experience supporting DHC’s customers, he is perfectly positioned to lead the Aftermarket team focused on ensuring we Keep the Fleet Flying and positioning DHC as the supplier of choice for our customers. He will continue to support the engineering division while the search is underway for his replacement.
- We’ve aligned our revenue generating responsibilities in one area to support all our aircraft sales and aftermarket activities under a single leader. More to come on this in future announcements.
- Keith Moore continues in his role as Vice President, Information Technologies, now reporting to Todd Mooney, Chief Financial Officer. This alignment of IT and Finance builds the right foundation for DHC, supported by strong processes and tools for our organization.
- As we look towards our objectives for 2025, we need to continue to innovate and diversify to ensure we can deliver our goals. To support those objectives, we have also added a leadership role to focus on DHC’s long-term strategy. More to come on this in future announcements.
The changes will streamline our operations, improve collaboration, and align resources with our strategic goals. The intent is to create a more agile and responsive company that can better meet the needs of our customers and our DHC staff as we grow and evolve as a leader in aerospace.
Recruitment for these open positions is underway, but we will take the time needed to find the right leaders for these roles, ensuring that they embody our Core Values of GRIT, Respect, Accountability, Appreciation, Courage and Empathy. While some new faces will join the team, the focus of many of the changes will be internal candidates and promotions as we recognize the great talent we have in DHC. There will also be other departmental changes that will be rolled out in the coming days and weeks that will be communicated from VPs to their Directors and Managers, then throughout the company.
I understand this news may raise questions and uncertainty. We are committed to supporting you throughout this transition and will provide resources and open lines of communication to address any questions that you have. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to building a strong DHC for our next 100 years.
