Submit Your Ideas for a More Efficient and Cost-Effective 2025

Help Fill the Dash 8 With Savings!

Welcome to 2025! There is no doubt that this year will be huge for De Havilland Canada—we will deliver our first Twin Otter Classic 300-G, we will produce the 1000th Twin Otter, we will start manufacturing the first wing for a DHC-515, we will host our All-Operators Conference in April and we will celebrate the first flight of the Twin Otter in May.

None of that can happen without the efforts of everyone across the entire company.   From the clerk in stores to the machinist on the floor to the methods engineer ensuring high quality production.

You see the ins and outs of the business on a daily basis. Where we do well. And also, where we can improve.

For the first quarter of 2025, we want to tap into your ideas, suggestions and helpful hints on how we can become a better, more cost-effective and efficient company.

Is there a computer program that nobody uses anymore that we can turn off and save money? (Yes, there is and Programs found it!) Is there a service we could have provided more cost effectively? (Yes, there is—cleaning at CGY 7 and the Executive Assistants found it!)

We know there are a lot more of these kinds of savings and efficiencies out there. But we need your help to find them.

To help provide a little incentive for folks, Brian Chafe has offered to have lunch with five of our staff (2 in YYZ, 2 in YYC and one in YYJ) that submit suggestions over the coming weeks. And if you want, you can also ask one of the other executives to come to lunch as well.

We will be highlighting some of the best suggestions on DHC Connect over the coming weeks.

So, email your ideas to communications@dehavilland.com and help fill the Dash 8 with Cost Savings!
