Calgary Hauls for Hope!

On September 24, our De Havilland Canada team in Calgary took on the Hope Air Haul for Hope Challenge, pulling a WestJet Dash 8-400 a full 100 metres in just 19.03 seconds!

This marked the final stop in a cross-country series of pulls for a purpose. From Toronto to Vancouver to Calgary, our teams showed incredible spirit, determination, and teamwork, all in support of Hope Air’s mission to ensure Canadians can access vital healthcare no matter where they live. Since 1986, Hope Air has provided more than 200,000 travel arrangements for patients and families across the country.

This year, Calgary’s DHC team pulled for Theodore. Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Theodore has already undergone one open-heart surgery and faces two more, all far from home in Toronto. With both travel and accommodation supported, Hope Air has helped him and his family and allowed them to focus on his care and recovery.

A heartfelt thank you to our Calgary volunteers, and to Hope Air for leading such a powerful and inspiring initiative. We’re proud to have been part of it from coast to coast!
